Felon Friendly Jobs

Finding work if you have a criminal record can be incredibly challenging.  Here is a partial list of employers in the Twin Ports area who have a reputation of being willing to hire workers with a felony on their record.  Owners and managers change sometimes, so let us know if there is an employer on this list that you don't feel belongs here any more.  And likewise, let us know if you know of a workplace that should be listed.

If you are in a union job, we urge you to try and get your union to bring up this issue during contract negotiations.  Some jobs have state imposed restrictions, but many jobs could be made more accessible by "banning the box" - getting employers to no longer needlessly use one's past as a deal breaker in employment.  If you'd like help in doing this, you can reach out to the Northwoods Socialist Collective.
